Prequel to City of Scars.
Taking off immediately after the Belle Reve Prison Breakout- the Joker and Harley QuinnQuinn have no other option than to lay low. Heading straight to Amusement Mile, their story begins anew.
After the Belle Reve Prison Break- Joker and Harley are on the run. Opting to drive back to Gotham, Joker gets a call from Jonny Frost- who (still recovering from his severe wounds from the helicopter crash) remained in Gotham running things while Joker took half his men to break out his girlfriend. Frost tells him things aren't safe for him and Harley as Batman has been seen ransacking old hideouts and warehouses under Joker's control. This leaves The Joker with no other options, somewhat furious he can't take Harley back to their luxurious penthouse or mansion- he resides to staying in the most isolated motel he can find. When he realizes Harley is still drugged up on some unknown substances from Belle Reve- he kills the henchmen escorting then home in a fit of rage. By the time he realizes that he has eliminated their only protection- it's too late. Someone tipped off the cops, and it's only a matter of time before Batman arrives. Bailing out a back window with Harley over his shoulder- Joker jumps back into the black van they'd arrived to the motel in and floors it. By this point Harley has been in and out of consciousness for nearly 18 hours. With no knowledge of what went on in Belle Reve, Joker is left with limited options. When Harley's condition worsens, he makes a call he is sure he'll regret.
After a call to Lex Luthor, Joker finds himself driving from Louisiana to Metropolis. A car ride that is sure to last for days. And The Joker has a very short temper. How long will he last tending to a drugged up Harley Quinn?
