At almost thirty, Gianluca has achieved many of his goals. He studied art, learned to draw and write, and yet he still feels out of place. As he watches his peers move forward with their lives, his mind keeps returning to his childhood: anime, video games, afternoons spent drawing, and dreams that once seemed so simple to pursue. Until one day, he finds himself face to face with the child he used to be. A journey through memories, nostalgia, and the sensitivity we only have as children will lead him to discover that what makes him different from everyone else is not a weakness, but what makes him unique. Because perhaps, to truly grow up, we must never stop being children.

18 years on from a brief but successful pop career, Nella Castle is a woman reinvented. Now a Church of England Curate in a group of sleepy rural parishes, she is forced to face her past as her world collides with the one she thought she'd left in 2004. When one of her churches becomes the centre of a murder investigation, Nella finds that the spotlight she has worked so hard to get out of is back on her. This book is a 'clerical murder mystery' for the Millennial generation, combining a classic parochial whodunnit with themes of early 00s pop culture, identity, breaking from the past, and obsessive fandom reminiscent of Swifties and Free Britney.

I'm sure most have read the poem Howl by Allen Ginsberg. When I first read it, I understood it to be a lengthy and visceral description of that moment in time through his eyes. It was so captivating that I decided to do the very same with my generation. I'm not totally sure if this is appropriate on this platform but I wanted to know what anyone else besides myself thought. If you're gracious enough to read it and respond, thank you so much! If I've already lost your interest, I still hope the best for you. Anyway, here it is:

I am ExtraVague, from the verb 'to vague'. This means I am driven by an internal force to wander around, both literally and metaphorically. Shall I be doing this? I ignore it. But how on earth would I be consequent with myself if I were certain every step of the way.
