Where as most stories begin with tales of the ancient days, stories long forgotten and filled with wonderful myths... this isn't one of those. This is a story about 2 brothers, a nerd, a boy who doesn't know who his father is, and a valley chick who believes that "cage free lettuce" exists. While yes, there moments excitement and suspense, this is a real life story. One not based on leaping tall buildings in single bounds, running faster than light or having a particular garment that contains obscene amounts of gadgetry what almost holds up your pants. What you are about to read isn't filled with delusions of grandeur. It's filled with moments that will bring a singular word to mind; "same'. For these characters will not just be remembered for their epic successes, but the copious amounts of hilarious blunders.

Life, they say, is so full of all sorts of crap, especially for teenagers who have yet to experience all that life has to offer. There's Marco Winters. He's funny, cool, devilishly handsome, and just an all around nice guy. Of course, he's also very popular with the ladies and that's where the problem comes in. Marco wants to get serious for once, and he thinks he's finally found the right girl. Then, there's Mahogany Alderly. She's quiet, artsy, quite plain, and a little bit weird. One day, she decides that she needs a little fun in her boring old life, but the problem is she did not know where to even begin. Mahogany wants to go on an adventure and she's ready to tough it out to get one. Needless to say, life is a very messed up place not to have things to hold on to or to change. However,there is indeed a need to be careful. Because you'd want to hold on to things that matter and you'd want to change for the good. And amidst the thunderstorm called Life, Marco and Mahogany are about to have the misadventure of a lifetime.

This is a short story inspired by a writing concept given to me in my literature class. I am well over my emo phase (hahaha...haha...ha), but I've always wanted to write a fanfic of some sort. Keep in mind, that this was an assignment and so no smut or that many cute moments happen here. You should totally just read this.

When Gail moved into the countryside the least she expected was a pink haired girl with high enthusiasm and low normalcy (with a younger sister whose tolerance and understanding could get her into the waiting list for Saints) and a resident physician who seemed overdosed on superhero comic books and everything that falls under 'eighth grade syndrome.' And the only one keeping her from acquainting her aesthetically pleasing facial features against the nearest wall until she gets normalcy back into her life or she stops losing brain cells per minute is a hot brunet with deep blue eyes and a smile that makes her stomach do somersaults. After an offbeat meeting of breaking and entering, manhandling, and a near death experience all in one night, Emery expects to never again make Officer August Beck's acquaintance. That was until she discovers he's gone undercover as her new gym teacher, and he's not exactly happy to find out she's one of his students. Now that he knows she's not actually twenty-one, she's off limits. And Emery is completely, without a doubt just fine with that.
