"The hell... why are you here now?" she spat, her voice trembling between anger and hurt.
He dropped to his knees, eyes heavy with guilt. "I know I was hurting you... but I wanted to be the one you'd be proud of."
Her hands shook as she yanked him up by the collar, fury burning through her tears. "You're a coward. I'll kill you if you interfere again in my life."
But he only smiled, admiring her fire. "If dying by your hands means you'll be near... then I'll happily die."
