Modern love is more than just boy meets girl, girl meets girl or boy meets boy. In this day and age, society is competing with unrealistic expectations. Despite how many times we all tell ourselves that photoshopped pictures aren't real people, we all still long for perfect bodies. But, learning to love yourself may be the best modern love story of today's world.

Hello! :) I decided it would be fun to submit a description of my personal evolution of my understanding of love and what it means to love someone. This was inspired by my choice to finally embrace my sexuality and the understanding that came with truly allowing myself to be who I am. Hope you enjoy!

Love is a complex thing, and if you look past the many thoughts and feelings that connote towards it, what does it truly mean to you?

Love is a dangerous game to play. Mostly if your playing with relationships,emotions and betrayal. My love was all three but not in that order.

A monologue about some of our first loves. Familial love. At least what an 18-year old has to say on her experience of familial love and what she's learnt when it comes to that form of love. Very conditional at times.

Diana Winters She's not really a goody-two-shoes nor is she a bad girl but she is both. She is like a flower beautiful and sweet one moment then the next something that can take over your life. That's how Edmund Avery would describe her when she came into his life. Edmund Avery He's not really the cliche guy of this story. He doesn't take advantage of girls and he doesn't have that popular aura around him. He is quite literally that guy that every girl strives to find when they want to get married. But this isn't the real world yet this is still high school/summer. So Edmund has never had a girlfriend, his first kiss, or had anything to do with a girl. But that changes with Diana. ----------------------------------------------------------------- When they first meet Edmund falls head over heels in love with Diana but she already has a boyfriend, so they resolve to just being friends instead. That all falls away through when Diana's boyfriend starts beating her and taking the light she has out of her eyes. Will Edmund be able to put back that light she had? Or will she be an empty shell forever? Will they learn to love through their toughest times and will Edmund get his Flower Girl?

Everyone has a chapter in life that they recall their transitioning period.

Fall in love, make mistakes, break the rules, and leave regrets. We wreck our brains searching for answers that can explain why we make certain decisions or feel a certain way but in the end, we can't fully explain love or any other emotion. At some point in our lives we all developed a specific picture of what represents the abstract idea called love. Be it a face from distant memory or a taste that reminds you of an event. But just as how Ethan Hawke said to Julie Delpy's character Celine in the movie "before sunrise", maybe every choice we make for that one person, that seemingly earth-shattering love story, is simply based on the one moment when you realized, "i wished i had met you earlier, i really like talking to you."

When a toddler is forced into lock down, she awaits the day she can once again see her kindergarten boyfriend. And that day is today. Maya will once again hug her soulmate after a long time away. Will he want the same thing as her? Will he even show up? Find out in this short story of two childhood sweethearts in today's society.

This is for the modern love contest happening on wattpad. This is a letter since I thought that would be more interesting This story is heavily based on one of my original books "Cry Wolf".
