Alexis Kelly (yes I know that's how most if these stories are but stick with me) just wanted to be in charge. She's a badass, she's independent, she's a hell of a fighter, and she doesn't let people push her or her "family" around. She always looked up to her big brother jack even though she didn't always let him know that. Alexis goes by the name spade because she always wins in poker. All the Manhattan newsies know she's a girl but, no one else does. Yeah that's not gonna work well with this whole new strike thing. She wants to help as much as she can but jack keeps her back as much as possible. And yeah this whole king of Brooklyn let's just say he's about to be hit by the only person who won't take his shit. (Yes this is a spot colon story) The only character I own in this story is Alexis Kelly Warning: foul language is used a good amount, fighting both vocal and physical

(Author note: this is a sequel to my first Newsies story, "I Never Planned on This". I would suggest reading that one first, because I am going to be talking about events that happened in that story that weren't in the show, so it may be confusing if you don't read that one first. that being said, here's the sequel:) Years after Kennedy came to New York and tortured the Newsies (mainly Henri and Davey), The Wall is now gone, and so is the warden. But as some things go, new things tend to come. Jack and Katherine have now moved back to New York, with Jack drawing for the papers as well as occasionally selling them. Pulitzer's been off of the Newsies' tails ever since Jack threatened to put him out of business. But when eight-year-old Allen and six-year-old Katie enter the picture, Pulitzer suddenly wants to be involved in their lives, as in sending them both to boarding school, as he sent Katherine to until she turned seventeen, when he allowed her to return to New York. Jack and Katherine refuse, as they want their children to grow up around New York, and learn streetwise and schoolwise. But Pulitzer, being the stubborn man he is, refuses to help pay for the children's schooling unless Katherine and Jack allow him to send them to boarding school, even though it's technically their choice. As Jack begins to go in debt to Pulitzer and Katherine is always on her feet to support her family at her job in The New York Sun, the Newsies may be their only chance at keeping Allen and Katie in New York. Will Greedy and Entitled Pulitzer win again, or will Jack and Katherine's dream of raising a family in New York be able to become a reality? (Author Note: Just like in I Never Planned on This, some characters will be girls rather than boys. Please understand that I feel it contributes more to the story, and I hope it doesn't upset anyone. Hi, I'm Anna Sullivan, but I mostly just go by Ash Kelly these days. "Why?" You might ask, well, let's just say I'm running away from the past... And the Bulls. You may have heard of the New York cowboy Jack Kelly and the King of Brooklyn Spot Colon, but I guarantee you never heard of Midnight. The Newsie fighter and 1 of the only girl newsie in all of New York. No one knew that she was a girl except her big brothers. Mush Meyers and Fighter Meyers. She planned to keep it that way for as long as possible. In fact, everyone knew very little of her (besides her brothers). All they knew was she was related to Mush and Fighter and as soon as she was done selling papes she would disappear and by the next time you saw her, she would be sporting a new shinnar. She once was a kind and outgoing newsie who made the world just a bit brighter for those around her. Back then, she was known as Wolf. Until she disappeared for 2 months and came back as a different person. Someone who you didn't want to meet when you're one of her assignments. She wasn't just a Newsie but a fighter who had enough skills to be paid for it as well. A hell of a good one at that. Think of it as a soak for hire. Though she has rules on who she soaks. And nothing can make her break those rules. But when the Newsies go on strike Midnight, a mysterious Newsie gets sucked in even though she so desperately didn't want to. Along the way, she met Spot Colon, the King of Brooklyn. To say the least, she didn't like him at first. Due to the reason he reminded her of someone she had to turn her back to when she needed him the most. Even more so when old unwanted feelings start to emerge. But the King of Brooklyn found her interesting and wanted to know more about the elusive Newsie. In hopes that this newsie could help him reunite with a girl that he lost all too long ago. Will Midnight lower her walls for Spot and help him find the girl he so dearly missed, or will she soak him. Read to find out.
