They riots have always been bad, even before Natalie was born. However, they were never this bad. In a riot gone bad, Natalie and her closest friend Dominic are forced to leave town, fearing that they would be in even more danger than ever. That's when disaster strikes. While resting in a house, a lightening storm started, and the house was struck by a bolt of lightening, setting it on fire. Trying to get out safe and sound, Natalie and Dominic get badly injured. That's when Natalie loses everything important to her; her precious memory and her beloved speech.

(literally) Hello everyone, thank you so much for all the love and support you have given my story. As many readers know, I wrote this book when I was in middle school. Since then, I have taken a long break with many author notes stating that I will try to edit and write again. I have finally found the inspiration to write again, I won't change the story idea, but I will modify it to my liking.

Clay was born too early which makes him struggle a lot. His daily battle with multiple disabilities doesn't make his life easy and after also being bullied, even by his own brother, he shuts down around almost everyone and develops selective mutism. Instead of talking, he starts writing to the person he wants to become friends with. George who struggles with ADHD and a mood disorder suddenly receives notes in his locker each day from an unknown person. The notes cheer him up each time and at the same time he starts becoming closer to the quiet and shy Clay. When George also becomes friends with Clay's brother, he has to choose between either him, who hates Clay, or choose for the sweet Clay. But does he fall for the manipulative behaviour of Clay's brother or does he stay loyal to Clay?
