In a dystopian future, artificially created girls are raised by paid people, but are already imprinted to their future mates. One day Lee, a struggling and lonely writer, finds a lost young imprint who is looking for her imprinted. Lee starts to think about different ways to care. I made the cover. Not great. my Handmaids story

Even when I was young I knew I did not belong. I came out ahead, on top of the class, but my teachers would make me fail for it is unheard of any girl being smarter than the boys. Our society is based upon our four male leaders. We have five sub sectors in which all but one is run by one of the four leaders. The last one, though, is run by a women. The four leaders know of her, but do not see her as a threat, till I came of age.

#myhandmaidstale submission. Because it's always been a dystopia for someone. The opening quote is from Margaret Atwood's poem, "Spelling." The other quotes are from the KJV Bible, Ecclesiastes and Song of Solomon.

It was a cold, rainy night. The wind blew swiftly as I put my wedding dress on. Usually people would be happy on their wedding day, but I'm not. I am getting married to a person whom I never even met before. The only thing I know about him is that he is a rich man who is twenty years older than me. Anyways, I have to marry him. This is basically made for entering competitions or things like that and yeah! This is only 499 words for reasons and I will make another version to continue writing this! Anyways, enjoy the short story!

This story is of a young woman who found herself lost and wandering upon the woods. She finds herself coming to a little town with only few people, mainly men. There were women but they were almost like slaves and it shook her to the core, but you can't be picky with food an shelter. But she found as they helped her that their views towards women were vicious, and she found herself becoming one of their victims. She's forced to birth a baby boy she'll didn't think she'll ever see again. And the one she thought loved her took away what she only had left of her dignity.

This short 500 word story serves as a submission for the Handmaid's Tales contest hosted by Hulu. It is inspired and based on the world Margaret Atwood introduced in her acclaimed book, "The Handmaid's Tale". A wonderful and inspiring work of literature, it is also being translated onto the television screen, a well deserved revival for a story so well done. I was excited to write a submission in the form of a short story that would branch from the world she'd designed. I hope you enjoy the read as much as I enjoyed writing it!

I was fifteen, isolated. Imprisoned. I was resigned to my fate. I was going to die in a cell, alone. I was over.

I did it. I created a fake President. And no one knows but me.
