A normal couple living in the same universe of "A Handmaid's Tale", a world where infertility is a growing issue and the elite are given women who can still have kids and treat them as slaves to reproduce, describe their lives and attempts to conceive a child.

What would happen if the gay marriage ruling of 2015 was ruled in favor of all those against the LGBT community. Based on The Handmaiden's Tale, this short story shows that life will go on even in the darkest of circumstances.

In a society where married couples are unable to conceive without permission, one brave woman chooses to break all the rules. With threat of death or worse, she seeks empowerment and ownership of her own body.

After the Third Civil War, the United States doesn't exist. There is unrest throughout the territories. Leaders have spoken up and been shot down. Ration cards and low morale keep the populace in place. The Resistance Movement, under mysterious leadership, has been recruiting and building its ranks, looking forward to the day where the country will once again be a free nation. Saoirse, the daughter of the original writer of the constitution after the Second Civil War, is returning home, attacked, and finds herself rescued by the resistance. Her mother wrote the constitution for the United Confederation after the Second Civil War. She based her script on the original constitution, with equal rights and sovereign voices given to each colony, each person endowed with personal rights. The Allied Commonwealth disagreed: all colonies should be equal under one common ruler, no one colony richer or more endowed, each person responsible for their neighbor, everyone equal. After the Third Civil War, no one had any rights. This government took all their rights, controlled their lives, and matched their partners. Then they executed any female helped restore after the Second Civil War. But there were resistors, fabled heroes, free or in hiding, and Saoirse had been trained to follow in her mother's legacy.

A young handmaiden writes the last entry of her diary. One of choice and consequence, of taking control, though it may lead to an unwanted conclusion.

In a dystopian America, a biological virus was released into the public by the Neo-Nazi Government known as Leistung Suchers. The virus affected most of the women of America, preventing them from leaving their homes and causing their names to be shortened as well as the loss of their memories of what their last names once were. The virus, which is called the "Mega-virus", has also killed some of the women as well. Mel, a former college student, dreamed of making a televised speech to all of the women to stand up to the Suchers. And, with the help of her boyfriend, Jake Scheider, she is about to achieve that dream. Notes: I don't support Nazism, as I believe that what the Nazis did in history was awful. Also, Leistung Suchers is German for Power Seekers.

Amanda writes of her situation, imprisoned in a room with a young woman awaiting execution. She speaks directly to the reader, expressing her regrets, and urges action on the reader's part.
