Everyone knows about the greats: Medusa (who was decapitated by some mortal), the Minotaur (who was stabbed by some mortal) and Typhon (who had a mountain dropped on his head by the king of the Gods, who is, admittedly, somewhat more important than some mortal).
But what about all the painfully average little monsters out there? You know, the unassuming, unambitious and downright unremarkable.
Enter Tanisha, a young Gorgon in the midst of trying to make a name for herself and live up to her family's expectations. Well, she was doing that, but following some unexpected circumstances, mixed with downright poor fortune, she's stuck on a tiny island, with only her collection of petrified mortals and cripplingly low self-esteem for company. But hey, as far as she's concerned, she's fun, she's witty, she's exciting, and she has tried to achieve something noteworthy. It didn't work out quite as well as she would've liked, but enthusiasm has to count for something. Right?
Actually, I hear Typhon's up to something cool as well, so if she really does screw this up, that could be interesting...
Look forward to new parts every Saturday, circumstance permitting. If a new part doesn't go up on Saturday, it is likely I've been swamped with schoolwork and thus unable to find time to post. I will try my very best to get it out to you on Sunday, but please be prepared to wait till the next week. I apologise in advance for any such delay.
