Joshua is always fretting over the "what ifs" in life, but never trusts his gut feeling because it's always wrong... at least until one summer afternoon when he, his friend Markl and cousin have nothing to do and dare each other to go touch the door of the house on the end of the street. The house everyone hated. For the first time, Joshua and Markl are at a loss to do when the strange little girl Alice forces them into playing a very dangerous game if they want Sharon back. But they're not the only victims. There are others forced into games, some knowing they're playing and others not, but they all have their own goals. The only question is if Alice is prepared to give them a winning chance.

''There once lived a boy with no name. Ever since he was born people used to refer to him by different names, some people called him by some names without even noticing, some people never referred to him by any name, they just used some pronouns without noticing. Sometimes the boy named himself for the sake of convenience. None of those names were his. none of those names described him. On the other side of the town lived another boy far away in a vast house, mostly alone, accompanied only by a lonely servant. This boy never came outside, never had any friends, and never showed his face to anybody. The boy lived with a mask, always glued to his face. And even though the mask was strikingly beautiful it left the boy faceless. The two boys grew and soon reached adulthood. One grew up to be nameless and another faceless. One never learned his name and the other never saw his own face. Both boys grew up alone. One boy was lonely because he didn't know who he was so he wasn't able to be purely himself in front of others, and the other- because people couldn't understand him, since he was too afraid of the truth behind his mask. That is how both boys learned to hate the world - they never felt a part of it.'' This is a story about a journey of getting to know yourself, about accepting who you are, and about learning how to be who you truly are. P.S. I'm currently in the process of writing this story, so it won't be edited to perfection. Please excuse some mistakes, I'll get back to edit it once I finish this story :))
