A short 500 word story from a "bird's eye-view" for National Geographic's #planetorplastic contest.

The guardians of the earth forgot their mission, forgetting their origins and succumbing to the punishment of nature. We are bound to nature, from the ground to the ocean, it is our duty to protect it. Thus, being the Seattle natural warrior forgets her past leaving modernity to dominate her.

An Entry for National Geographic Planet Or Plastic

Will we make our Planet become plastic? Or will we stop this act before it goes any further? This is an entry to the Planet or Plastic movement competition. Words:498

Our heads are underwater, struggling to breathe while we drown ourselves and drag everything down with us Americans alone use more than 500 million drinking straws daily. That could easily fill more than 125 school buses. If you look at your own plastics footprint, one of the easiest ways is to decline the straw. My First Submission for the Planet or Plastic Competition. This is a serious topic and I feel like we should deal with this before it's too late. Even a small change to ones lifestyle can make a difference.

Just what the title says. Although I don't know how many people will feel what my story is trying to express, I hope that it'll at least create a small spark of those feeling within your heart! :)

This is my other entry for National Geographic's #PlanetOrPlastic writing contest. ==<<<<>>>>>== It is reality. We are so naive thinking if we experience drinking that dirty water each time we go swimming. We didn't think how about those whale sharks. They have large mouth. They are supposed to eat only plankton. But, They might swallow those plastic cups. Those barbecue sticks... Those diapers.. Etc. Not only the whale sharks But all other living creatures on the water. Come to think of it.

Okay, i was inspired by Dr Dian Fossey who was given her life to safe endagered animals. Until now, we don't know people who were killed her. That was made me antiphaty, but now i was became deep simpathy because i saw the picture that National Geographic was uploaded in Wattpad. So, I decided to join the campaign #planetorplastic.

My contribution to the #PlanetOrPlastic campaign by National Geographic. ----- Couples went island hopping on their holiday until one day, they reached a sudden disaster unexpectedly. Is it Nature's fault or us, human. Are we certain to be called as human being? ------ I honestly appreciate how some fastfoods now are minimizing in using plastic straws. (please be patient, it is my first time to write, thank you for taking your time) Love, Zam

If us humans had the chance to live under the ocean. We wouldn't last a day. Because our careless act of disposing garbage into our waters, has now lead to the ocean becoming a death zone for marine life. This story was written from the point of view of a seahorse.
