The story follows 17-year-old Thomas Anderson from the real world, a college student who studies physics while also writing the screenplay for his own sci-fi film based on The Matrix video game. Over time, however, the real world becomes unbearably dull to him because of bullying at college and constant criticism of his screenplay. But one day, everything changes. The code of reality itself begins to malfunction, and Thomas is approached by Morpheus, who sees him as the Chosen One and offers him those famous pills-the red pill and the blue pill. Thomas also encounters Agent Smith from his reality, who wants to destroy the Matrix and the universes themselves in order to create his own universe and become a god.
