Ash Quintal, a young teenager is trying to find who he is, he doesn't know how he came into being and has never been able to know his parents. He is learning at a school called Cobble Creek College in country Australia, in which he feels a disconnection between him and other students at the school. As he progresses through year 8 he starts to gain suspicions about specific events and begins to investigate his occurrence as an individual in which he reveals a secret that is hidden in the school and its teachers.

There are two boys that everyone calls "The Rivals". The two boys fought every day. Secretly, they are friends. The reason why they must keep this secret because their families are sworn enemies, but something happens between them.
