In the year 2050, the government hides a lot of things from the public, one of them being the side effects of vaccines. After 20 years of the various forms of cancer killing millions of people, all the people care is that a cure has been found. A cure that only works on children aged 12 to 19. A group of teens forced to receive the vaccine by their parents develop some interesting side effects that wouldn't seem out of place in an Avengers movie. But can they keep the new powers hidden from the government in order to survive?

Set in Seattle, Washington, Lacey Evans just turned fifteen. Her life alone is a wreck of peace. Nothing seems to happen besides an occasional fight to break out between humans who have been dominated by light or darkness to where it has become a part of them and their abilities. Even those have gotten tiring and normal. Lacey recently recovered from a severe stab to her chest which sent her six years of hospitalization including mental recovery. She now has time to herself, too much time. Her family was rich, so being a writer, her low income doesn't matter to her survival and pleasure in the world. Constantly her mind travels back to the past. Having memories of a group that her parents led during the years they were still living. Evie, short for Evangeline, lives with her mother and stepfather relatively peacefully. Her father died when she was a baby leaving her mother with the difficult task of trying to teach her daughter where her powers come from. Evie uses her powers daily to do a variety of tasks. Of course, she's not the only one in the world who has special abilities, what the government calls agima. She just has the most powerful and array of agima ever known, but no one is supposed to know about her abilities. That is until she accidentally reveals her agima to Declan.

Haru uprooted his home and start anew in a different world for his safety. Everything was going great; he made great friends in this new world and his mother and their guardians transitioned to life in Takibi with ease. And he was about to become a senshi to boot; everything was great, until the person who wanted him and his mother dead sent someone to annihilate him during his final exam at the Academy.

After Eira graduated, she wasn't sure what was next. Sure, she had a degree in linguistics, but she didn't really think about how she'd use it in the real world. Luckily, before she can even get home from her graduation that choice is made for her. She soon discovers that there's more to this world than it seems. Before she can make her way to her new life, though, she has to figure out how to get there. This story was written for NaNoWriMo July 2019

The old hag grinned. It was an unpleasant sort of grin. A yellow-toothed, wizened, knowing sort of grin. It was the type of grin that, normally, made any travellers to cross her path cross on the other side of the path. Unfortunately, the two travellers today did not have such an option. They were tired, and it was dark, and they had already stopped for the night. They didn't know the old hag meant them no harm. They didn't know she only wanted to tell them a story. The old hag glanced at one of the several watches on her bony, wrinkled wrist... and sighed. "I'll have to cancel my next appointment." She looked at the still-frozen pair, the flickering firelight illuminating her beady black eyes. "There's a knight who cheated his quest, see," she said, in a rather normal voice. One of her companions started. In surprise? Fear? Who knew. "Ah well, it can't be avoided, I suppose." She sat, slowly, on the nearest log which had been pulled up to the fire. The hood of her black cloak fell to her shoulders, revealing patches of limp, grey hair and a sunken-in face. One of the campers shifted uncomfortably. "Oh really, do sit. We have a long night ahead of us." "You-you're-you're a..." one of the campers stuttered. The hag looked at him, waiting. She knew what was coming. Then again, she always knew what was coming. It was just that some version of this moment happened every time, and she'd come to expect it. "You're a hag!" "I am not," she corrected sharply, "a hag. I am a seer. Now sit. You're being rude, and I'm already running late." She shook her arm, and her several watches all rattled and clanked. The campers sat, as one did when lectured about manners by an all-powerful seer. The seer nodded, satisfied, then she spoke. Her voice was different this time. Raspier. Drier, like sand on a cliffside. "Princess Ariabelle Tatiana," she began, for her confused but attentive audience, "was no ordinary princess..."

*Unedited* A story based on songs. Luna, Harper, and Brent have been inseparable since they were kids. That is until Jesse swooped in and broke the trio apart by sweeping Luna off of her feet and taking her from her hometown. Luna and Brent fell for one another early on, but neither ever confessed, fearful of the other not reciprocating the feelings and fear of ruining the friendship. Jesse sees this and pulls her away from her old life. What Jesse doesn't realize is, nothing can break the bond of a Triad and nothing will stand in the way of destiny. What's meant to be will happen regardless of who fights it. **I do not own the image on my cover. It is an image from the 2011 movie Footloose. I just tweaked it because it fit my story perfectly.**
