Flames. Towering far above six metres, they lit up the thick blanket of night sky with their light, shining brighter than the stars of Olympus, a last revenge from Prometheus to the gods above. Ashes. That was what the lively, bustling village had been reduced to. Every living thing within a two-mile radius had been returned to their original form-- dust and shadows of the past, a mere memory that lives on in the minds of three. And I, I stood at the precipice above the village, spectating the burning with indifference as the cool night wind blew through my body and straight into my soul, stoking the flame of destruction within me. He had been right. I would eventually become a monster. ------------------------------------------------------------ The government was two feet away from the precipice called 'collapse'. The Geneticist- or, as the Fallen Heroes called him, the Big Boss- had defected, taking most of the powerful Heroes with him to effectively create a formidable army. Ignatius Kira is the Hero in charge of the last safe Prefecture in her nation. Alongside her side-kick and best friend, Sylph, the two take on the many piles of paperwork meant for an entire Hero Agency and the troubles of a Prefecture meant for more than two Heroes. However, when Tross, the former Guardian-gone-rogue of Ignatius's Prefecture, decides to pay the duo a visit, Ignatius is about to find out how much of an illusion her reality has been.

Whether or not Theodore Aspen (Theo, to his few friends) wanted to get dragged into the conflict between his old home, Terra, and his new one, Earth, that doesn't matter. He thought that by becoming an exchange student to Earth with his lupine best friend, Alaina, he would be able to leave his past as an orphan behind and find a new family. The second part happened. The first didn't, and now he's going to find himself on the front lines of the war that he wanted to flee, and it's all due to a few mistakes that he made (mostly, not realizing that his principal on Earth wasn't quite human; no, Mister Marlboro likes Camels, hates Terrans, and oh, wants them all dead. He's going to try all he can to make sure that that happens, and it's Theo and co's job to make sure that it doesn't.) They'll have to stay alive first, but so far so good, thankfully. Then again, though, you never know. After all, as the saying goes, luck is never on a fox's side... Rating: PG-13 for coarse language and crude humor. Thanks for 1K reads! (1/20/20) and 2K reads (7/3/20)! Highest Ranking: #7 in furry 7/19/20. #3 in anthro 7/31/20.

{Nanowrimo 2018} Morwen Lovell never expected to fail out of college before even declaring a major, but after a failed quest to find a normal, secure place in the world, Morwen returns to Ohio and the familiarity of her parent's Great Midwestern Renaissance Faire. Her summer filled with make-believe royals, pirates, and turkey legs is turned upside down when a dashing knight-in-authentically-replicated-armor, a mermaid, and William Shakespeare come alongside her and help her realize her new destiny: put her outstanding cosplay skills to use and apply to a design school she has only ever dreamed of. But getting into an elite costume design program is easier said than done while trying to navigate faire politics, a mysterious saboteur, and an encounter with internet fame that brings an army of jealous trolls down on her cosplay accounts when she's forced to step out from behind the sewing machine and into the spotlight.

It's December 5, 3177 and all across the country young adults are adorned in dresses and suits filled with anticipation of what could be their first or last ball. Over a century ago, a man by the name of Louie Termis came up with the concept to help further the evolution of the human species. He believed that by mating with people of the same or higher IQ, future generations would find themselves to be smarter than those of the past. After years of test and government funding, his theory was adapted into everyday life by the help of Termis Corp, an organization who have made it their mission to help create a better future by ensuring the proper mating of people based off appearance and IQ. Many believe this to be a beneficial part of life that will help future generations to come but for William Clarkson II, it's a death sentence. December has come and William's time is running out; this is his last ball and if he doesn't get chosen well, he'd rather not think about it. He has one chance to gain the attention of Emilia Thurgood, daughter of Edward Thurgood a well known and established scientist or his time is up and but the odds stacked against him, could this be the end?

"Wretched fools," boomed the god, "are your faces so thick with pompous vanity that you cannot see the treasures before you? You do not deserve to stand in the court of Men, nor the court of Justice." --- In the kingdom of Lytheria, gypsies are stains on a sea of the clean population; they are unwanted, undesirable, unwelcome. The people fear the gypsies and their stories of proud gods and heroes; yet, they are spellbound by the magic they can bring to life, and the prophecies that nearly always come true. The trees whisper of a child, with hair black as midnight and gleaming eyes bright as the moon, who will save her flesh and blood from ruin. She is not a princess, nor a hero. She is a girl who has lost everything, who has risen from the ashes once more to claim what is rightfully hers. And when her gypsy camp is burnt to ashes in the dead of night, she falls into despair. But the gods have already marked her path down, and chosen her fate. Five years later, opportunity comes with a bloody vengeance. Five years later, she is hunting for the truth. There is a vagabond, who is bound down by shackles of destiny; a heiress, who knows the pain of poverty; an orphan, who steals not gold, but dark secrets; and a peasant, who is affluent but aches for love. They are all connected by the same strings of fate, and bound to each other for life. They are not legends, nor heroes, nor mighty foes. But they have found their way together, and so will remain forevermore. For the gods are watching.
