Ever since she was 5 years old, Angie had been different from other people. Ever since that car crash. Poor Angie lost her father and brother that day. But it's what she gained that held equal importance. At first, she had no idea what was happening to her. The doctors sent her off with a diagnosis of synesthesia, but something told her that it was more than that. She didn't quite know what "more" meant. Maybe she was about to find out.

Liliana "Lily" Hamill is just your average working woman. 5'5" with wavy brown hair the color of milk chocolate and blue eyes, she's never been described by anyone as "a catch." She's pretty enough, what with her athletic frame and well-proportioned face. She rises every day, runs almost every morning, and gets ready for work just like many twenty-something-year-olds in the United States. She's been working mostly in the marketing department at Andino Incorporated since she graduated from a college in Texas at twenty-one, and she's lived in New York City for the past two. She doesn't think she's anyone special. But she is, because Lily has been blind since birth, although her disability has never held her back. That burden has fallen on her insecurities. Now, though, she's attempting to face her fears. Her closest childhood friend, Joseph Montran, has invited her to a company social event, and Lily grudgingly has agreed to go. All she knows is that it's informal, that she and her guide dog, Chelise, can mostly hang out with Joe and his wife, Katherine, if that's what Lily wants, and that she shouldn't be afraid to "act natural." So does frosty hired gun Frances Steele. Kill the target. Leave. Get paid. But the target happens to be Martin Black, who seems to be unable to get hit by a bullet. Along the way, they meet a few fixer-uppers: a senseless chemist who's actually onto something; a gang-member that never truly went straight; a stoic vigilante with an overwhelming hunger for justice; a young aristocrat adjusting to life in the Wild West; a wise-cracking thief with more than a few issues to sort out. But all of them seem to have an enemy in common. And, beyond their knowledge, forces brew. Little do they know their actions will make a difference, and alter their world forever. -- *EDIT* The novel wasn't finished for NaNoWriMo. However, chapters will still be released (though probably not as often). There will be lots of plot holes, but when I finish Draft 1 and edit it, things should be... better.

Aidan's game review YouTube channel and affiliated blog were never going to be the biggest things on the Internet, but if you were a fan of MMORG or RPG gaming, you'd certainly have heard of it. His combination of knowledge of gameplay, the lore and (sort of) the technology behind it were nothing special. But the snark he brought to the table? That had won him a following. She'd learn a few things. Oh, and definitely teach the guy a few. And daddy's Data Algorithhm Virtual Immersive System (DAVIS) would help her. And while she was at it, her best friend Maribel. Sweet girl, but boy did she need some steel in her spine. Everything was going swimmingly. Until DAVIS decided to get a few ideas of its own.
