Jesse Haines is a lying liar who lies. He can tell you many things. He can tell you about his tenth birthday party, he can tell you anything you want to hear about Scotland and many things you definitely do not, and that's not to mention the guy's obsession with hiking. There are a few things he knows nothing about: what it's like to be gay in 1986, what it's like to be gay in Wenatchee, Washington, or in fact what it's like to be gay at all. Because Jesse is not gay and he has never wanted to kiss boys and he has never wished he lived in a different world. But then along comes Biff Dennis--the new kid, who threatens to force Jesse to confront everything he pretends isn't there. The truth looks him in the eyes in the form of Biff Dennis, and the truth just so happens to be very, very dangerous.

Five years ago, Alyce Day sold her creation to the a Senator. At seventeen, with her parents' encouragement and permission, she signed a contract to develop her technology for him, for the greater good. How could she have known that he would flip the country on its head? Now, she's the President's prisoner, and she walks a world of isolation even in public. The two biggest superpowers of the continent of Meridian are at war and the hostile creatures of the inhabitable Crisis wildlands have disappeared as a new threat looms. While on the run, he finds refuge with Seri, a winged boy who's convinced that the world is out to get cambions like them. Stranded in a derelict house with only each other for company, the homeless amnesiac and his paranoid host can offer each other what the other needs, but Ruby didn't escape one cage just to end up in another, and his bid for freedom could expose them both. Welcome to Camp Nightshine! A summer camp run by the mysterious and friendly Katie Kroswicka, catering to the needs of humanly challenged children ages 8-18. The Spookfire is a camp tradition where the children tell stories to foster understanding, but also have fun. The stories can be comedic, informative, dramatic or even scary! The point is to learn about the people telling the story by the kinds of stories they share and respond to. But each of these children also has a story of their own... "Sometimes I wonder if the world really would be a better place if I was silent" .................................................................................... Meredith Havens feels sheltered from the outside world. People her age don't understand her, she's more sensitive than other 16 year olds, and well... she has anxiety. Crippling her to the point of being unable to live properly, Meredith realizes that maybe she just isn't good enough to deal with life. Why bother trying when it was easier to hide? But some others along the way who seem to meet her at checkpoints of her journey may convince her otherwise.
