Khadijah hates not knowing things and uncertainty as much as she hates white chocolate. And her mother knows that more than anyone in the world. Nobody knew the reason why her mother fled home one day, leaving Khadijah with a list of misfits of strangers she must ask questions to in order to find her. It was nonsense to her. But she knew there was no other way to find her mother other than going through the list; a mechanic, a foreigner working at an oil station, a goreng pisang makcik and many more. Comes in Najwa, a girl in her class in kindergarten who she long lost contact with. Khadijah discovered Najwa's pretzel-like twistedness of a life, abhorring and being scared of almost everything in the world and decided to let her tag along in her quest to find her mother. Khadijah hated the uncertainty of it all with a passion; where was her mother? Why was Najwa everywhere and why does it feel like she could not do it without Najwa?

It wasn't camaraderie, and he figured it out explosively in the middle of a firefight. Flames raged on every side, civilians screamed at a distance, and she ran for a crying toddler flanked by the enemy. Fire lit in his chest and dying embers around their feet. I laid my head down on my paws, tired and not getting any sleep. Again. I have had the same dream every time I close my eyes. There's screaming, fighting, arguing, and dying in it. I've never had this happen in my life, well, not in this lifetime, maybe in a past life. I'm not sure how it works - the past life regression, I mean. I'm a jaguar shifter but not a very good one. I didn't have anyone to teach me the things I needed to know. My parents died when I was a small child, gone before I was one-years-old. Oh, don't worry, I did have a grandfather - if you can call him that. He was the one who taught me everything not to do.

Hey so uh, this is literally a multi-fandom oneshots book but I also might just write story prompts on here. This is for NaNoWriMo but I'll probably still write on here after it's over. (I wanted a calm month for this year)

Crippling her to the point of being unable to live properly, Meredith realizes that maybe she just isn't good enough to deal with life. Why bother trying when it was easier to hide? But some others along the way who seem to meet her at checkpoints of her journey may convince her otherwise.

He doesn't remember what the madman magitech inventor did to him that caused him amnesia, but he'd rather escape not knowing than be treated like a lab rat. While on the run, he finds refuge with Seri, a winged boy who's convinced that the world is out to get cambions like them. Stranded in a derelict house with only each other for company, the homeless amnesiac and his paranoid host can offer each other what the other needs, but Ruby didn't escape one cage just to end up in another, and his bid for freedom could expose them both.
