I had always been sick, even before I had started forming memories. Born prematurely, then getting severe pneumonia when my doctor had given up all hopes of me ever recovering, to endless number of diseases that got me hospitalized every couple years had rendered my body weak and my immune system almost useless. But facing all this didn't dampen my spirit. In fact, I was renowned as the most 'Alive' girl in my neighborhood - slash that - even the whole Norwood High (my school). My mum often says that I'm probably alive because of my fierce nature and never-give-up-despite-losing-the-fight-attitude. But who knew that this fire inside of me could lead me to losing my legs and with it, change me from the renowned hyper-active girl to a scaredy cat. But losing my legs also lead me on a path to rediscovering myself and getting to know the 'real' me from someone else's viewpoint - someone who was a complete stranger, inadvertently, leading me to find my one true love, who apparently would have lived his own life world's apart had it not been for that fateful night when I lost half of me.
