In an urban fantasy Nigeria, the power to command fire, water, earth, and wind runs through bloodlines like inheritance - awakening in children as young as four. Malek Toluwalade Idoniboye Dokubo is seven, and has nothing to show for it. Born to a family steeped in ancestral Earth and Water lineage, he grows up trailing behind cousins who awakened years earlier, carrying quiet questions from every relative and stranger who asks what he can do. But buried deep in his bloodline is a suppressed inheritance no one expects - one that, when it finally breaks free, will not just mark his awakening, but upend everything his family thought they understood about him. Teenagers Love Basketball No, I don't mean 'Teenagers love basketball' :-) "Who's he Roxie?" My mum asks, sending death glares at us. "I'm her ballfriend" "Boyfriend?" She gasps. Swear I heard the same thing. "No, ma'am, ball-friend" 1 count 2 counts 3 Heck did he just say?! P.S: The description isn't quite intriguing. I'm sorry :-\ P.P.S: This book is likely to be more humorous than romantic and would be a lil clichΓ©. Read for laughs? ^_^

My eyes trailed down and to my sheer horror, my mother was lying on the floor. Lifeless, motionless and stiff. The red liquid which I then concluded was blood was flowing like a river from the back of her head. Her eyes were wide open which scared the life out of me. Her Pink Jalamia was now a deeper shade of red as it soaked up the blood. Her black slipper in her left palm, maybe she used it to defend herself. The tiles had blood running all over them and the white rug had a new pink colour added to it due to the red liquid. He came closer, putting his fore finger on his lips, telling me to keep quiet and he brought the bottle closer. I let my instincts take over and I ran away from him. ---------------------------------------------------------------- Having your mother murdered by no one else than your father might not be the best thing to happen to a teenager. Efe Naborhi's life takes a 360 degree turn as she has no choice but to live with her neighbour/best friend, Amanda. Left with nothing but bile and bittersweet determination running down her throat, she sets up on an adventure to find the man who started it all whilst meeting people and going places she never thought she would set eyes on. You dare sit there and have a staring contest with the read button?

My country people... How una dey? This is it! The book where we accept our hangout lovers. Life isn't all about books or it is? Sometimes we need to just let lose and catch fun, relax and cool the end. Don't forget our popular idiom that, "All Work And No Play Make Writers Full of Writers Block". Lol, yes, I know it's not the correct one, but who cares? We're just catching fun and that is what Nigerians hangout is all about. Nigerians get to meet and mingle, catch fun and hangout and while we do all these things, we promote that work of ours that we are proud of. If you're ready to be a part, click on the book and swim with us.
