But when she accidentally opens a box that releases 50 evil spirits, graduation becomes a more important date: her deadline to save the world. As the box's opener (just call her "Pandora"), Carly must learn to wield the sword left behind when the spirits escape. She's taught by her friend Jake, aka the Keeper assigned to safeguard Pandora's Box...A job he clearly sucks at, but at least he knows the rules. The spirits are confined to Shady Creek--practicing their destructive magic on the town--until the box loses its hold on them, which happens to fall on graduation day. Carly has until then to strike each spirit and absorb it into the sword, but if even one gets free, she won't have a rest-of-the-world to escape to. 50 evil spirits, 30 weeks... But there is a cost, to have these dreamscapes children must be used as hosts until I core dream can be built and after some time dreamscapes start to go bad. There are only a small group of people willing to fix these dreamscapes. However, those thrillseekers know well enough to stay away from HF-1205; an infamous dreamscape known for trapping occupants in podsleep. The challenge has never seemed more right for Landon and it helps that the company likes him for the job. They even have someone else already picked to help him, Eli, who no one seems to know anything about.
