In a land of sentient nature and dragons blotting out the sky, the kingdom Esari is at war. Prince Sage is second in line to the throne, but when a rogue accident sends his elder brother and his dragon falling to their deaths, Sage has no choice but to accept the weight of responsibility on his shoulders. Everett has been close friends with Sage and his elder brother Eris since they were children. Scarlett Brown arrives at Harrow Abbey with one goal: keep her head down. After a police raid leaves her family splintered and her old school behind her, she's meant to be grateful-a scholarship girl given a clean slate among the country's future politicians, athletes, and heirs. But Harrow isn't built for keeping quiet. It's built for loyalty and legacy, for golden boys who never fall and the people who circle them like satellites. Hugo Pratt is one of them-the school's star, adored, untouchable. Archie Stokes used to be the same, until something broke between them. Now one's the pride of the place, the other its scandal, and Scarlett, the girl who doesn't belong, ends up in the middle of a rivalry that runs deeper than anyone will admit. At Harrow Abbey, everyone's pretending to be something. And sooner or later, the truth always gets out.

Everybody wants John to be something. His family wanted to marry him off to some rich guy. Isaac wants him to be a wizard. But John has run away from home, determined to follow his own dreams. And his dream is to be a private eye, just like in all the Raymond Chandler novels he read as a child. He can only hope that the detective skills he learned from those books are still relevant when it's 1996 and he's homeless in the big city... I was trying to write a book, all the way from initial concept to publication, in November 2024. All feedback appreciated. I managed to post a chapter every day in November, and write 5 more, but at the start of December I've still got a handful of loose ends to tie up.

[CAMPNANOWRIMO 2015. VERY ROUGH FIRST DRAFT. EXPECT ERRORS] When eighteen-year old scientist Natalia O’Rourke accepted a mysterious job interview as lab assistant, she wasn’t expecting the top secret facility. Nor the strangeness of her new boss, the enigmatic — not to mention surely mad — Professor Ingvar Alkaev. She definitely wasn’t expecting to find that her new job is what had long been her dream. She had given up on that when her mother had died. Two years down the track, she is a fully fledged scientist in her own right, running her own experiments and research. And this time, nothing was going to stop her, not even the experiment she was running. Known only as experiment 7a10n, he is the oldest experiment made by the professor. Used to perfect the testing procedures, he is now Dr O’Rourke’s charge. But nineteen years of being a test subject has almost broken him. What Natalia expects — a placid, obedient specimen — is not at all what she will get. He has bided his time long enough. With the arrival of the much younger experiment known as 8e11a, the race is on to escape — and do it alive. Highest Ranking: #366 in Science Fiction!

Catching a glimpse of a legendary all-white reindeer is supposed to bring good luck. Not for Georgia Greene. As Georgia makes her way home for Christmas, a white reindeer dashes across the road in front of her, causing her to crash her car into a ditch. With her car stuck and a storm blowing in, Georgia is forced to hole up at a remote Christmas tree farm with the help of its kindly owner, Sue. Though Sue tells Georgia stories about how seeing the white reindeer is a lucky event, Georgia is skeptical. She doesn't feel very lucky. Not only is she stranded and snowed in, but she's also stuck in the presence of Sue's surly son, Felix Nissen. But despite her distaste for the holidays, Georgia has to admit there's something special about the Christmas tree farm--almost magical. Maybe the reindeer brought her more than luck... Maybe it brought her right where she needed to be. --- This was my winning NaNoWriMo project for 2021! I took it down to edit it after the holiday season, but now it's coming back with more chapters! VILNIUS, SEPTEMBER 1987. Summer is over. The air smells of change and cheap cigarettes. Jake, Tricky, Fresh, and King stand once again before the gates of their high school: four friends bound by a forbidden passion - graffiti. Hidden in alleys and away from prying eyes, they paint dreams in color on gray walls, defying a world that refuses to change. Jake is impulsive and rebellious, and that's why he spent the whole summer doing house chores after getting caught tagging a wall around the city. Yutani, a year older, quiet and studious, watches him with a mix of curiosity and disapproval. He teases her, she corrects him - yet between them grows a silent connection, built on irony, glances, and half-spoken words in the school corridors. Meanwhile, Tricky keeps chasing her dream of becoming a dancer, Fresh hides behind his music, and King, increasingly weighed down by his family's financial struggles, starts missing classes to help his parents at their small shop. Days go by - lessons, small dramas, and secret murals painted under the cover of night. And in the air, they can all sense something dark approaching, though none of them can yet tell what it is. When the summer of 1988 arrives, the friends escape for a few weeks to Klaipėda, where Fresh's aunt Ella lives. There, among the beaches and the Baltic sunsets, Tricky meets Brody - a foreign boy who has recently moved to Lithuania after his parents found work in the coastal city. Between them sparks a brief, intense story, full of music, dancing on the sand, and whispered secrets. But as summer ends, Tricky and Brody decide to part ways, accepting that what they shared was just a moment in time. Meanwhile, King decides to leave school to help his family, promising, however, that he won't leave his friends behind. Jake and Yutani, between banter and small gestures, grow closer - close enough to care, but not yet enough to say "I love you" on the last day of school.

"Remind me again why I thought spending six weeks with a bunch of hyperactive, sweaty and supposedly 'musically gifted' kids was a good idea?" Bailey Cunningham has gone and taken the plunge - she's not only signed up for the job of a camp counselor at Triple Lakes Camp for Musically Gifted Children, but she's roped her best friend, Savannah, into it too. However, the pair really get more than they bargained for when they discover they'll be sharing their summer with not only the kids, but the guy who looks as if he's stepped out of an Abercrombie and Fitch catalog, the quirky brother, and the sugar-coated flautist who's way too sweet for her own good. In the midst of the madness, only one thing's for sure: Bailey knows absolutely nothing about music.

"Ella, Ella!" Some one shouts my name but the words are fuzzy as if I was under water. Splotches of darkness fills my vision and I succumbed to the welcoming nothingness as I faint. •○•○•○•○•○•○•○•○•○•○•○•○•○•○•○•○•○• Ellain, Ella for short, led a life of abuse for her whole life as her mother, step father and step brothers forced her to nothing more then a slave. Her mother spent years blaming her as the reason why her father walked out on them just before she was born, knowing full well that her mother didn't care about her and even added into the fuel. The only light came from her friends that made everything bearable but that all changed when she lost them. When the truth comes out about her past and who she truely is she is whisked away to England far from the only place she knows to finish the rest of her schooling and sadly is treated. But when she meets her so called prince charming will her life change or will he be another person to torment her life. Could this be her second chance at a happy life or her path to despair?
