Dan and Phil live in a world where Nekos are real and are treated like slaves. Phil lives with his mum and dad who are almost always too busy with work to worry about him. One night, Phil is up late on his laptop and he hears a strange sound coming from outside and decides to check it out. He never expected to find something that might change his life forever. Warnings: Mentions of abuse (sexual, physical and emotional)

It was so cold, I could feel the bits of snow covering my body, as I laid captive in the cold. Sheet of soft, white blankets camouflaged the bushes and trees in the wonderland. The animals and insects were covered in the ice that kept them frozen in place, like puppets on a shelf. There were no flowing stream of water; they were frozen into a misty blue, icy surface. I had no memory of how I got here; I was with my mom and dad eating dinner. On a Friday, we were talking about our day and how we should plan a family vacation. That was it and now I'm in the forest that seems to be frozen in time. I pulled my legs into my chest and dug myself deeper into the winter snow of the ground. Thinking that if I were to burrow, maybe. Just maybe I could keep the heat from leaving my body. I pulled over my hoodie and shrunk my face into the scarf that was covering my mouth. My breathing was deep and long drawn, trying drastically to find warmth; white air came from me to the air of the cold. As the fearful winds pounded me, deeper into the hole and shifted away pieces of the snow that was around me. Slowly, my mind started to drift off. This wasn't good; I tried to keep my eyes from closing into asleep that would have been endless. But there was no use my weak, shivering body fell asleep, before I could even fight. And dreamed. Dreams are something you are battling that your mind plays on you to figure it out. Like a game that ends the way you make it. When you lose you can only blame yourself, and cry for something only you know because it's your mind. Your dream. Your... "Do you want to live". A voice swayed into my dream. "Or do you want me to leave you here". I knew I was dreaming, but am I dreaming in a dream. Is that even possible? Maybe it's just a voice made by my subconscious giving me someone to talk to. I don't want to be alone. So with the strength I had left I uttered, in a voice so quiet it was more of a whisper. "Please help me".

Avis didn’t have a moment to prepare herself before a hot searing pain hit her. She gasped and fell to the ground holding her left cheek in utter agony. Avis laid on the ground unmoving with tears falling from her dark green eyes. She was curled into a ball clutching her cheek and crying. Her vision was blurry from her tears and the white pain flowing through her body. Avis’s sobs wrack her body and she finally looked up at her master. He had never hit her like this before. What had she done to deserve this? “Master, please” She croaked from her sore throat. “Have mercy, please” She cried to him begging him to stop hurting her. Master Zane stared down at his slave girl cruelly. His Piro had awaken. Piro was short for Vampiro, when a vampire is in Piro he acts purely on vampire instinct. As of now his instinct was to hurt Avis. She had cut herself while cleaning. The blood had activated his Vampiro instincts. “How dare you tease me like that! Waving your bloody hand as if it was nothing!” He roared at the girl as she writhed on the floor. Then Master Zane stumbled back in shock, his eyes turned back to their chilling grey. He stared at Avis in horror. Had he done this to her? She would never forgive him for this, piro or not. He shook his head trying to remove the lingering red spots in his vision from the red color his eyes had been.

The city of Sumineka was doing well for itself. Many people lived there, that of the richer parts. Meanwhile, Koneko Ikari was living on the outskirts of the city with her broken family, living as Nekos, who were looked upon in those dark times, although they were barely allowed to live there. However, one day, a proclamation forces all "Neko Scum" to retreat the city immediately. Koneko, enraged by this, decides to fight in the name of the Ikaris, her broken family. She reluctantly hides her Neko ears and tail and goes into the city, after learning who the woman who made the proclamation was; Mienu~sama. Koneko does well for herself, as an apprentice in one of Mi~sama's many successful businesses. Koneko soon learns that Mi~sama is planning to rid not just Sumineka of Nekos, but the whole world. Koneko must take the life-changing decision to combat Mi~sama for Neko-kind. Adventure novella by Yuki Osumi (NekoGirl677)
