Ellis and his friends Rochelle, Nick, and Coach have been fighting for their lives since the zombie apocalypse has started. After the bridge blows up in New Orleans and they safely get into the helicopter, the four find themselves at a military base in a secure area in Louisiana with other survivors. Seeing three familiar faces, Zoey, Louis, and Francis, it seems they might be able to settle down and not have to worry about the zombies coming after them for once. However, Ellis soon gets these weird feelings when he is around Nick. His heart flutters, he stutters on his words, different things he never noticed due to the adrenaline of killing zombies. Will Ellis's school-girl crush on Zoey last, or will another form of love rise through the blood and guts? (Currently editing and still creating chapters! I first started writing this when I was 14, so grammar and such is not that good in the first few chapters. However, please read on and enjoy the story!!!) A Nellis fanfic!! Nick, a 35 year old single dad, protects his daughter as they fight their way to safety in a zombie apocalypse. He comes across a group of three people A southern mechanic known as Ellis, a news reporter known as Rochelle and a high school football team coach known as Coach. His 6 year old daughter, Ellie is terrified but her father does anything he can to protect his baby girl Ellis helps Nick with taking care of Ellie and Nick finds himself gay, falling for the southern mechanic. But what he didn't know was that the southern mechanic had fallen for him when he first laid eyes on him Ellis had loved Nick's daughter as his own And they find love together in a hopeless place How are things gonna turn out for the group? I got this idea from another writer, I can't remember their username but shout out to them! I hope they don't mind I wrote a story similar to theirs! Anywho I hope you all will like the story! :) Also I do not own any of these characters except my own!

The apocalypse is over, humans are just about back to where they left off. For Nick and Ellis though, this has brought new opportunities that could change their life for better, or for the worse.

The sequel to "New family, New love" the Nellis fanfic! If you haven't read that one I suggest you do :) 6 years later, they've managed to finally stop fighting and fearing for their lives as they fix up the city and have the military guarding it since they've found more living people, so they've attempted to start fresh. Starting up small business as convenience stores, grocery stores, garden stores for fruit/vegetables, and building houses and fixing up the apartment buildings for the people. the military keeping watch around the city. making the city seem like normal. Making them believe their life was normal. Until it's all started again. Credits to the person who drew the picture that's the cover pic to this story. Nick has been fighting these Bastards for 3 years now. Ellis, Rochelle, and Coach have gone missing or dead from the Group. Nick only knows that Rochelle Did indeed die. Tank crushed her into the ground. Now Nick has been trying to find anyone, but so far he's met 30 different people, and all of them died the first day he met them. Now Nick has found himself in a bathroom, counting his bullets, and wondering if it's even worth going on at this point. He thinks this because well, Nicks Love interest has been missing for 3 years. And it's not Coach, but it is a male. *mostly in nicks point of view!*

After leaving jail in Savannah conman Nicolas Dillion meets up with old friends and is given a task where he meets a young and optimistic mechanic named Ellis McCray.

"There's a thin line between love and hate." Nick encouraged, "and you caught me right in the thick of it."

Rochelle and Coach have been torn apart. Going forward is impossible, going back will and in death. The conman and the hick are trapped in their last days, and their true selves surface in the face of certain death.
