Chan is almost entirely a walking stereotype for popular asshole guys. The only thing that separates him from his crowd is the fact that he doesn't speak. And that nobody knows why. Sometimes we need a strong, powerful wind to come blasting in to raise the voice of the flame. Or maybe just a boy with supposedly zero shame around being himself, willing to connect and find what's beneath the mask. quiet as a flame.

Forty-two failed dates. One unexpected tear. And the quiet system crash of a queer developer learning how to feel. /// Jamie doesn't feel much. He's lived with flat affect as long as he can remember, compensating with logic, routines, and romantic comedies filed under reference. As a queer man longing for connection but unable to express it, he's catalogued every failed date--clinically, precisely, and alone. Then comes Date Forty-One. And a single, unexpected tear. What follows isn't a breakthrough. It's a slow, quiet system failure--one that makes him question everything he thought he understood about himself. And in the background--steady, patient--is Alex. A coworker with grief in his eyes and strawberry wafers in his coat pocket. This isn't a love story. But it is a story about love. About presence, repair, and learning that the first genuine feeling doesn't always need to be dramatic. Sometimes it's just true.

Krel Tarron is less than enthusiastic to be stuck on a mud ball planet with an unintelligent life species known as humans. Everything about life on Earth is boring to him, and he's perfectly fine sticking to his pessimistic views despite his sister Aja's encouragement to see the planet in a better light. A work study program at school forces Krel to be under the mentorship of (Y/n) (L/n) for a week. Can his new mentor help him find a reason to give Earth a chance? Or will their mentor-apprentice relationship end in disaster with Krel so stubborn to hate his temporary home? Disclaimer: I do not own the Tales of Arcadia trilogy or its characters. I only own the plot of this story and the self-made character "Emily." Creative liberties were taken with the interior/structure of Arcadia Oaks High, and is not a canonical representation of the school's facilities.

Rory Winters has always felt separated from everyone around her. Strange dreams haunt her, animals are afraid of her, and she sometimes makes things move without touching them. When she receives her Hogwarts letter the summer after her eleventh birthday, things in Rory's life slowly start to make sense. The only persistent mystery is the box that she continues to see in her dreams - wooden and unassuming, marked only with the inscription: "take only what you can give." The more she thinks of the box, the more darkness she feels gathering within her, bringing fear and hatred along with it. Soon enough, Rory and her newfound friends find themselves steeped in mystery and deceit as they begin to uncover truths and lies, some of which are better left untold. (This is an OC fic taking place in the Harry Potter universe. I do not own some of the characters or the idea; all credit for the world building goes to JKR.) (I'm still working on the cover, I know it's not the best)

When a child's sensory system is overwhelmed, they can feel unsafe. For some children with autism, this experience is due to their heightened sensitivity to sensory stimuli. In crowded or noisy environments, they may struggle to filter out background noise, making it difficult to focus on important cues or stay alert to potential dangers. They may also have difficulty understanding the social cues of others and interpreting nonverbal language, which can lead to misunderstandings and feelings of vulnerability.
