I stuttered as a child but became a National Speaker. I never graduated college but learned how to lead people in business. Not because I'm great but because people encouraged me when I needed it most. I felt the need to pay it forward to others.

Isn't it interesting how day by day, nothing changes in your life, but when you look back, everything's different. You end up being friends with people you thought you'd never talk to. You move to a different country. You stop talking to your best friend. You break rules. You loose someone special. You miss opportunities. Or, you fall in love. If I know something, it's that you can never be certain about anything, you never truly know what's going to happen, and honestly it's better that way. When a young man's journey of discovery turned into a nightmare, he had no choice but to face untold hardship and destitution. And in a land where he knew no one nor spoke the language, it seemed like rejection was at each corner he turned he almost lost hope. He slept rough in places he didn't know and bagged the kindness of strangers for food. Then he broke international border controls knowing it was the one-way ticket to prison or a colourful removal if caught. But what he found was worth more than the distress, the humiliation and the pain to gain.
