I came to The School looking for a reset - a quiet place to disappear. For a moment, it almost felt possible. Until the calm cracked. Students vanish. Lights flicker without cause. Whispers know my name. Bruce watches the corners like something might crawl out. Bilton hides jealousy behind sharp smiles. And Kairaness... she looks at me like she's afraid I'll disappear next. Now survival means keeping Bruce steady, keeping Bilton from breaking, and keeping Kairaness alive long enough for all of us to escape. Because once The School decides you belong to it, it doesn't let go.

In a world where the paranormal is an accepted and feared reality, Veil Archivist Elara Veyn is sent to investigate Black Hollow Manor-an ancient estate where entire expeditions have vanished without explanation. Hidden deep within the mist-shrouded emptiness of Hollow Vale, the manor is far more than a haunted house. Its shifting corridors, impossible architecture, and whispering walls conceal a terrifying truth tied directly to Elara's bloodline. As she descends deeper into the living house, Elara uncovers generations of buried secrets, forgotten Keepers, and an ancient force known only as Hollow-a sentient entity that feeds on memory, identity, and fear. But Black Hollow Manor is not merely a prison. It is a door. And when Elara finally confronts the nightmare at its heart, she discovers that destroying one evil may awaken something far worse. Black Hollow Manor is a chilling five-chapter paranormal horror mystery filled with psychological dread, ancestral secrets, shifting realities, and a final revelation that leaves the terror far from over. Some doors should never be opened... but once they are, they remember the way back.

This story is based on a vivid dream I experienced. What starts as a controlled environment during a mysterious pandemic quickly turns into something far more unsettling. A group of children are taken to an isolated army base and assigned to unknown experiments, each marked by a simple slip of paper. But not all slips are the same. As fear, confusion, and survival instincts take over, the line between safety and danger begins to blur. Some choices promise power. Others... feel like a silent sentence. This is not just a dream. It's a glimpse into a world where fate is assigned... and some refuse to accept it.

Six strangers. One boarding house. A caretaker with rules he swears will keep them safe. They should have asked why the rules existed before they agreed to follow them. The house on the edge of the city is too large for what it costs and too quiet for what it contains. The caretaker delivers his rules at the door and disappears into the dark at the end of the hall, and by morning the rules are less comfort than they seemed, and the door at the end of the corridor is breathing, and the miniature sitting in the forbidden room has figures with faces pressed into their clay that no one should have been close enough to make. Cora has been drifting for long enough that she has stopped noticing the drift. She notices the house. She notices the bruise on her sternum that has pulsed since she crossed the threshold, shaped like a keyhole, warm in ways she cannot account for. She notices the miniature's tiny figure with her own face pressed into it with the intimacy of a mold made before she arrived. The house has forty seven names in its ledger. Eleven of them escaped. Inside these walls, nothing taken can be returned. Nothing placed inside a person comes out the way it went in. And the thing the house wants most is the one thing Cora does not yet know she has been carrying her entire life. This is not a story that flinches. It stays in the room. Count carefully. Do not open your eyes until you mean it. ©️ Relle H

Original short horror stories to enjoy. Sorry if it's not scary enough or is a bit cringeworthy, I love the thriller and horror genre, but I'm not good at communicating it on 'paper.' Do leave ideas in the comment section and I'll try making a story out of it. Oh, and you get a shout-out if I like the idea( ̄ー ̄)b

One bed. One night. One secret the motel never tells. Daniel only wanted a few hours of rest on a lonely stretch of highway. The roadside motel looked ordinary enough-until the whispers started. A woman's voice. Then a man's. Cold hands pressing him down, sheets tightening like a shroud. The manager says every guest ends the same way. The bed doesn't forget. And it doesn't let go. One bed... and it's haunted.

In the frost-bitten Weald of Kent, veterinarian Jess Harper brings home one more broken creature - a tiny polecat-ferret kit with eyes too bright and a bite that won't heal. As an unnatural sickness sweeps the countryside - foxes staggering in daylight, badgers with silver-disc eyes, deer smashing their skulls against iron - sixteen-year-old Mia tries to nurse the kit back to health in the dead of night. What crawls out of the cage is older than the hop fields themselves. It wears the skins of Kentish omens: the black dog, the Hooden Horse, the watchers that have always lived between the skeletal poles and the black woodland. It speaks with wooden jaws. It tastes human blood. And it is no longer alone. The First Bite - a raw, sensory horror origin story where the old things of the Weald finally come home.

In Hollow Creek, the stories were supposed to be warnings-old tales about a horned beast that tore through the town generations ago. Nobody believed they were real. Nobody thought the creature would ever return. Now the screams have started again. Doors won't save anyone. Light won't save anyone. And the unicorn-once whispered about in fear-has come back to finish what it started.

When Asha's young son mysteriously vanishes near the water, she becomes the latest to confront the whispered legend of "the river that eats the living." But the truth is far worse than folklore. Beneath the quiet surface lies a labyrinth of drowned spirits - restless, vicious, and hungry for the living. As Asha searches for answers, the river begins to recognize her... and call her by name. Bodies return twisted. Voices rise from the mist. And the deeper Asha goes, the more she realizes that the river is not claiming victims - it's building an army. "Please stop. Please stop. Please" At first, it was nothing. A loose ribbon. A moved pencil. A note that could've been a joke. Then came the footsteps. The Polaroids. The messages slipped under her door. Someone is watching her. Learning her. Folding their shadow into every corner of her life. And when she finally sees the last photo the one taken from just behind her shoulder she understands the truth: He isn't going to stop
