I can't just become yours upon said words!" That last bit seemed to enrage him more but he kept it from rising in his tone as he gradually had backed me into the bark of a tree. He had that terrifying coldness that could've haunted me for ages with what he said next. "Why?" "Why! Because I'm brown!" .... Growing up different in a community of desi people is hard. Mani has grown up with traditional teachings and values, but is unable to speak the language even if her life depended on it. She wouldn't have minded being different but it's the perspective of others that shape an individual's identity in her city. Struggling to find an identity for herself at her local high school and traditional community, imagine what would happen if a certain Alpha were thrown into the equation. Since the beginning she'd desired to be the Mate of one but how could she get him to understand the hardships of being brown?

Connor Mallen. He plays football. He was a jerk. Or so everyone keeps telling him. You see, he doesn't remember anything about his past. He only knows what people are telling him. Why does he not remember anything? He was in a terrible accident and he hurt his head, causing him to lose his memories. Everyone has a different version of how things happened, but who should he trust?
