When a girl sets off to find her dad in the middle of a war and meets a boy does he cause danger or does he help. Does she survive. Does she fine her dad. Did she loose everything.

Tom is a bad kid, and proud. He is in the twelfth grade. He plays what are considered sports for bad kids, basketball and football, with his friends. His only problem is school, in other words his mom; he gets failing grades. He never bothers to do homework, or any studying for that matter. But he gets a lot of things; girls, friends, popularity. And for now, it's all worth it.

So they endure their drunk father's ways, because they have no other choice. The oldest daughter, Sparrow, finds something to distract her from the violence, she finds a boy, rather he finds her. A boy named Luke Linnet, and suddenly, her life doesn't seem so bad. Luke's life isn't so perfect either though. His dad is cheating on his wife with another woman, and Luke is surprised by how much his parents relationship effects his life. Not only this, but Sparrow's life starts to effect him, a fact which he'll carry to the grave. the kingdoms of anestria and ostrius are at war- unpromising times for peace and kindness. unaware of each other's true identities, a witch and a princess of rival kingdoms form an unlikely bond. the title of crown princess never really appealed to aerylis. that meant she'd be the heir to the throne, next in line to be the queen. aery didn't think it was majestic at all. she thought it was boring. but perhaps... a certain witch with a butterfly hairclip might just make running the kingdom worth her while.

Living with my younger sister and a alcoholic mother isn't a great life for a 17 year old, trying to keep a decent grades in school also having too work two different jobs to keep food on the table and pay for my mums 'medication' called vodka, on top of that looking after my sister and well, mother isn't a teens dream, but I manage. You might think it couldn't get any worse but it can. School AKA living hell.
