The only thing that's keeping him from ending his life is his love for writing. 21 year old Vincent Baker is a workaholic, college student who's too busy with work to enjoy the subtleties of life. He hasn't made any effort to contact his family in the last 5 years. When their parents are murdered, Wyatt is left in Vincent's care. The only problem with the situation is that Wyatt harbors anger against Vincent for disappearing when he needed him most. As time passes on, the brothers encounter many trials and tribulations, pain and suffering, and will have to learn to forgive one another and move away the barriers that try to separate them. A/N [2020]: This book will be on hold till further notice. "Sometimes, even the most different people click to one another." ================================================================================= "Wouldn't it's fun while we bond more? It's cool that we've been through a lot yet we're still here." Mary grinned as they walked around city, feeling quite cheerful and in awe. "Ya, we're like an exothermic bond," Reece smiled as he adjust his glasses, taking a sip from his coffee. "Yeah! Mary's right," Kim shouted happily but frowned afterwards, "What's an exothermic bond?" She asked. Reece was about to speak when Liam covers his mouth, "Nope, don't speak, my brains are already swollen from all those crappy reference you've been speaking a lot lately." "Hey guys!" Mary gushed, seemingly her cheerful aura radiating in waves, "What should be our group name?" she asked gleefully. "What's group name?" Liam asked, getting a smack from Mary in return, "Ow! What was that for?" "For being dimwitted and stupid," she answered, glaring. "Ohhh! I have an idea!" Kim made a fist pump, making all the others look at her weirdly. "What is it Kim?" The others asked. "We should be... The Fantastic Four!" She grinned. "But why? We don't have any superpowers," Reece whined. "And we're not that known to others, except Kim," Liam added, putting his hands on the pockets of his leather jacket. "No, it's not about superpowers and heroes, Reece," Kim said flatly and added, "Also popularity isn't." "It's about how we are so different and so unlikely to be close yet we clicked perfectly even though how hard we've been through."

My family seems to be perfect from the outside looking in. We have the big house, the money for things, the million-dollar-smiles... but nothing is ever as it seems. We're plastic. We're fake. So fake, in fact, that we hide the little things about us, we hide everything about us, to be more specific. My dad does things he isn't supposed to, and my mom is taking it hard. My brother has a full ride to any college of his choice, and he's blowing it away like it's nothing at all. So what would happen if someone found out about us? If they saw through our little charade? If they looked past the kitchen curtains that hide every conversation my parents have with each other? What if we were exposed for who we really are, instead of who everyone thinks we are? - Available to buy now - COMPLETE PLEASE DON'T EDIT - I GOT IT Highest Ranking in General Fiction: # 283

Also Available On Inkitt "Can I ask you something?" She asked softly. "Sure," he smiled. She looked up at him. "Why did you want to be my friend? I mean, there were so many people to choose from. Why me? I'm not even worth it." "You looked so lonely. So sad, so hidden. You looked like you were so used to being silent. But I knew there was more to it than what meets the eye. I wanted to decode the mystery." He looked deep into her eyes. "So what do you want?" She held his gaze, even though she hated eye contact. He smiled softly and sang, "All I wanna be, all I ever wanna be, is somebody to you." ________________________________________________ Darkness and shadows were all she ever saw. She lived in silence, her whole world a monochromatic display that only she could see. Her red rimmed glasses only made clearer her strife and the elastic band on her left wrist reminded her of her long lived sorrow. She hid from the world, going unnoticed by everyone, slowly crumbling to dust on her own. That was all until one faithful day when someone did the unthinkable and decided that she was worth noticing. She was the girl in the grey hoodie. And he was someone who cared. Take your mind on a journey of two unique souls, sprinkle in a little friendship, a teaspoon of tears, a spoon of laughter and fun and maybe a pinch of violence and love with a hint of secrets. And while you wait for that delicious cake to bake, a good sing along won't hurt. UPDATE 2020 I'm thinking of editing this book, I have the rest unpublished, to finish it. So here is the unedited and unfinished version. Beware I wrote this when I was 16 lol. It was for the campaign NOMORESCARS, that being said this is your TRIGGER WARNING! Story will deal with addiction, self harm, suicide and a lot of other hard topics, . This is a short story I wrote for the campaign #nomorescars . . . . I would just like to state that the character in this book is not a reflection of myself or a situation that I am in. I know a lot of people who have written for this campaign have pulled from their own experiences but that's not the case for me. I know y'all are like but Dela why do we care? Well I just want to let you know because I don't want people to think I went through this and so they can share their experiences with me based on the fact they think I go through this. I mean of course I want you to share your experiences with me and be able to talk to me about your experiences and thoughts and feelings but not under false pretenses. This book is based off people I have known who have done self harm and have gone through depression.

My whole body paining like hell. I crawled weekly towards the wall and rested my back on it. My breathing unsteady, the marks on my body giving me the pain, the same pain which I am getting I don't remember from when. Tears, I think now I am short of them. With difficulty, I crawled towards the side table to drink the water, my throat burning ,tongue dry. I grabbed the jug with my shaking hands fear raising in my innerself. What if the jug fell down? I drank from it, getting the taste of my blood from my busted lips. Full of grammatical mistakes.
