Yes, I know it seems trivial and all, but I swear I'm not joking. Whenever I feel my self-deprecation get the best of me, I wash it all down with that shot of adrenaline. When I was younger, my mother would wave away my worries and doubts. "Go and find something else to bother, or someone to listen. I couldn't care less." She'd say. And I must admit, I found it. Grades down? I'd drink coffee. Parents fighting? I'd drink coffee. Friends leaving? I'd drink coffee. Boyfriend cheating? I'd drink coffee. It's unhealthy, I know. But it IS my coping mechanism from breaking down in front of the world. Although, maybe my transfer to this new school.. J-High, was it? As I was saying, perhaps could break this cycle of relying on my adrenaline and euphoric beverages. But more importantly.. Would you like to share a coffee with me?
