We all trust our parents, right? We can tell them almost anything, and they'll still accept and love us for who we are. Well, meet Jordan Barker. A 14 year old girl who's mother is struggling with depression, anxiety, and OCD. Jordan is scared to tell her mom anything, because she has such a negative outlook on everything. She swears to God that her mother's motto is 'Why bother with life if it isn't perfect?' The same rule applies to Jordan in her mother's eyes. Let's face it. Jordan's a nut job! Trying to accept her completely true and weird self without any shame or regret, this is her story.

High School is tough, for sure. With the new kids, the oldies, the creepy teachers, the searching for the colleges etc. Not to mention the pressure of making sure that your High School experience is a life-changing, novel-worthy journey about self-discovery and making friends. You know, the scrawny underdog meets the arrogant bully with his head so far up his ass, he can't sit right. Well, sorry to disappoint you, but I refuse to make this that kind of story. Nope, not happening. This story begins in Livorno, Italy. Now, because I'm sure a lot of you cannot, in fact, speak Italian, everything will be written in English, for your benefit.
