"A jack of all trades is a master of none, but oftentimes better than a master of one." -William Shakespeare
Gambling Magic is not a gift without cost. To use it, one must risk something in return-power, stamina, memory, something guaranteed to never return. Many see it as a curse. But in the hands of someone who has nothing to lose, it becomes something far more dangerous.
Lucien Rev never had much to his name. His life was spent dealing with drunks, gamblers, and whiny old men. So when he awakened Gambling Magic, it almost felt fitting-risking everything in battle meant nothing to someone who already had nothing worth keeping.
He doesn't fear the consequences of his power. He doesn't fight for a cause, and he certainly doesn't fight for others. There's only one person he listens to, and even then, it's usually out of boredom rather than loyalty. Even the thrill of gambling loses its meaning when you no longer care whether you win or lose.
But everything changes when an old man refuses to leave him alone and drags him toward something bigger than himself: a Magic Knight squad that won't let him stay empty. For the first time, Rev finds something worth holding onto-people who make the world feel real, people he doesn't want to lose.
And suddenly, the gamble isn't just about risk anymore.
It's about what he's willing to bet when he finally has something to protect.
Because in the end... the most dangerous hand is the one that finally has something to lose.

"YOU DAMN CHEATER!"
"No....you're just bad at the gambling"

"Loss was always part of the deal...now that I have things to lose...it makes me want to sacrifice myself more."

"Lucy! Get your ass over here, you're the only dealer I trust in this trashy joint."

"How did you even get in here?!??"
"Julius left his window open"
