Not everyone has lots of money, lots of friends, and a great family. Alia Johnson isn't one of those people. She has all of those things. She has great grades, good looks, and lots of friends, yet somehow, she is lacking a big thing, a father. Her dad died just one year ago, when his army team was bombed as soon as he was deployed to Iraq. Since than, she lost a lot of other things. Hope, confidence, strength. Her mom has yet to notice her struggles, her friends just don't seem to care, and even if she was to have the whole world surrounding her, she could still never feel as though she wasn't alone. Her anxiety keeps her up at night, and leaves her unable to get any sleep. Her thoughts on her self-image and self-worth are also impacting everything she does, from eating, to exercising, to picking out clothes. Letting others thoughts on herself become even more important than her own.
