It's been exactly one year since Murdoc Niccals, bassist and sort of mascot of Gorillaz, passed away of a drug overdose. (Ooh, minimalist description. Am I Wattpad famous yet?) And before you complain about "But he's not a drug addict, he's an alcoholic", I pretty much wrote this as I was just getting into the fandom and decided on a whim to finish it.

He for some reason wanted to express his feelings for Murdoc but could never understand why he had those feelings in the first place. He balanced poorly on the type rope of life or death, staying on by just the small chunk of hope he held. Hope for love, or maybe just even a proper explanation about why he felt this tenderness for the man that was leading him to death. "Ｉ ｇｉｖｅ ｕｐ．"
