After coming back from a two month long vacation, Irene is excited to be babysitting for the Collymore family again, the family she'd been babysitting for four years. The picture-perfect family included a mother who does volunteer work and is seen as a caring person, a mechanic father who is respected by the entire neighbourhood, and their daughter, Noella, a cheerful young girl who considered Irene her best friend. The family caused Irene no problems. In fact, Irene considered herself part of their family as well. She wanted nothing more than to get back to babysitting Noella. However, the day she comes back, a drastic change occurs, one that causes many questions from Irene. It was something that Irene never expected to happen at the Collymore's house, especially knowing that they were a kind, loving family everyone adored. But was that really the case? Or was Irene only seeing one side of them? Who knew a family so lovely and thoughtful could be hiding such a horrifying secret?

There is no night in the Everburning City. There can never be. Also, the Everburning City is a fairly complicated thing. Even as the author, I need copious amounts of notes to keep it all together.
