Siblings can be one of the most frustrating things in the world. On top of Emma's younger brother Blake being gung-ho for Christmas despite their father no longer being alive she also finds herself worrying about embarrassing herself in front of her crush Charlie Calvin. And what is with the two Christmas Elves who mysteriously show up in the garden shed who are dealing with sibling issues as well, let alone the others getting involved? Disclaimer - I don't own Santa Clause or 48 Christmas Wishes. This is written for ONC 2021, but the prompt I selected for this one is "when the siblings found a lost fairy in the garden shed, they decided to help her find the way way home. They were in for an adventure."

She doesn't know why. ~~~~~~ When Genevieve wakes up on a beach half dead, next to a girl eating a chocolate bar, recurring memories and powers she can hardly control, she can only think the worst. When she finds out that she is in fact being hunted down, she has to figure out the reason why, and how she ended up in the ocean, and why she is being called the villain. This is an official entry for ONC 2021. I have used prompt #13 This is story about Alex who finds an old dusty Manuscript in his new apartment that tells him a story about Mr. Scott who probably saved the world by stopping the Doomsday 150 years from now. Though Alex and his friends think its fiction the reality that unfolds after he puts the manuscript down is a bit more jarring than he ever thought it could be. Armed with few pages of Manuscript, an old dusty gauntlet and Michael's watch, they step out to stop the possible doomsday and save life on one mysterious Michael Scott in Future Present and Past.

Past the threshold, there is nothing solid beneath your feet. You plummet into the oblivion below, clutching wildly at the emptiness around you. There is no sensation but the terror of freefall in the pit of your stomach and the freezing rush of air against your skin. Impenetrable darkness presses on your eyes. You fear that it will swallow you. You take solace in the fact that there is still air to breathe, even though every gasp seems to turn your lungs to ice. Distantly, you recall that hell is supposed to be firey and painful. In your desperation, you accept this comfort that you must be headed elsewhere. Without warning, your feet connect with something solid, and the impact shudders through your bones, leaving an agonizing ache in your knees as you collapse in a heap. You roll over, eyes meeting the sky. It's hazy and more grey than blue, but its wispy clouds provide the same relief as spotting a familiar face in a crowd of strangers. Death leans over you, obstructing your view. His empty sockets pull your thoughts back to the abyss, shattering all comfort. "Come on, I haven't got all day."

Ryoku Nagami was one of many young children trying to grow up on the oppressive Iron Pier. One fateful day Ryoku loses a stick fight against an older boy who was trying to prove something. An onlooker, the mysterious Magician, sees the fight and is impressed with Ryoku's fighting. He offers to take Ryoku with him and promises him a future of significance if he chooses to do so. The Magician has a plan. A storm is coming. Sometimes the best way through the storm is to steer directly into it. This story is based on prompt 82 from the ONC2021 contest. - Age and wisdom are certainly not mutually exclusive, but when a case of mistaken identity results in a teen taking charge of a small nation, who knows what might happen! I plan to make a small twist the the prompt in that the Ryoku assumes the identity and physical appearance of one of the tribal princes. This leads his people to "mistake" him for the actual prince which is all part of the Magician's plot. This is the first story I've ever written so I welcome any and all feedback. I prefer to post updates in groups so I can do some light editing before posting. Even if there is some time without an update, I am committed to finishing the 20,000 word contest. Hope you enjoy!
