Above all, he wonders why he can't bring himself to just let everything go; why he has allowed himself to get so attached after so much time. ***** Based on a wonderful story I read years ago on Archive of our Own called "Irons in the Fire" by rockholmes and "Your Hand is Mine" by Explosions in the Sky.

What happens when Octavian goes to the same mortal school as Rachel? What happens when they become friends? What will happen when they both find out that they're hiding very similar secrets? And WHat happens when a not-so-old enemy returns way too quickly? All characters belong to Rick Riordan. And the cover picture isn't mine either. I got too lazy to try and draw one so I got it off Google.

Sooo this is my first story. It's about Octavian and Rachel from HOO. I'm gonna try my best to not rush things in the story (a rushed relationship is a pet peeve of mine).
