This story is a duo one I wrote the idea and @chasingpuppet was the one with the idea this is a human au btw of the oddities roleplay (and the title and charactor designs are a work in progress this message is probably here because this is the start of the story)

These are some random poems I've written... Some of them are just weird... others may be okay... some are really depressing but that's because when I wrote them I was upset! I promise that I am not always depressed! It may seem that way because I write more poetry when I'm upset but most of the time I am happy!

A man is going through a brutal divorce, and the stresses and woes of that storm bring about a bizarre nighttime ritual. Once he closes his eyes and enters his dream state, he ends up in the same library that stretches endlessly. He has read many, many times his weight in its tomes. Some bring joy, some bring dread, but most just lilt as aimlessly as its reader. As the man progresses along the collapse of his family, he stays in the library longer.

Evaristo Cuevas has experienced a lot of weird things in his life. He can deal with trucks appearing out of nowhere (twice!), he can cope with the twinkling lights who say his name, and though they're super creepy, the beings with black-hole eyes and clawed fingers haven't harmed him, but after he's lifted twenty feet into the air, he knows for a fact that something is terribly, terribly wrong.
