This story is during what happened in the war and after the war. Okita Sougo was fighting together with Hijikata when both got struck by the blade of Utsuro. They were unconscious for a while but they stood up again fighting. Or that what it seems to look like. Now after the war: The Yorozuya obviously won the fight and defeated Utsuro. But the after event of it is not joyful. The story revolves around Okita and Kagura relationship after the war.

Without saying a proper goodbye to each other. Thinking he may never see her again. After 6 years of waiting she came back, all grown-up and (slightly) matured, but still the annoying brat from last time. But then there came another guy.
