Inspired by 'The Ones Who Walk Away From Omelas' by Ursula K. Le Guin. (Lowkey obsessed ^^^) *Extremely Short Story* ___________________ Just imagine, being the only person who isn't allowed to laugh, grin or smile. Showing happiness is a being able to use another emotion that everyone should have the freedom to use. So many smiling faces, peoples laughter. The sound of childrens giggles roaming all around the place, bringing joy to anyone around. But through my eyes, its the hardest thing I could ever do. Being able to smile.

It has been said that in Omelas, everyone is always happy. There are always constant celebrations, parties or dances to go to. She was 8 when she noticed the blonde boy in ragged clothing with bruises, sores and cuts all over him. She doesn't think the adults ever noticed him despite his bizarre looks, but she did. He fascinates her. His facial expressions were not like the others who always had a constant cheerful expression. His expression reminds her of the bedtime stories her parents always tell her about; fear and terror. Was that how fear looks like? "Here,prove them wrong"-?? She got in with confidence She believes in magic. But can she handle the unexpected result of it? Can she take and survive from the reality?

This story is based on the story 'The Ones Who Walk Away from Omelas' by Ursula LeGuin (1973). The characters and events in this story is however completely created by myself. You can read the original story before reading this. It is really short. I recently received an assignment to write up a story. So, this was the result of the said assignment. The One Who Returned to Omelas just pictures a person who returned to Omelas after leaving the place for good. Hope you enjoy!

Inspired by The Ones Who Walk Away From Omelas by Le Guin, The Ones Who Call Bullshit on Omelas is inspired by, set in the same universe as, and serves as a response to Le Guin's timeless short story. While the tone can be a bit more accusational, the whole schtick is very much the same as with the classic by Ursula Le Guin.
