It has been said that in Omelas, everyone is always happy. There are always constant celebrations, parties or dances to go to. She was 8 when she noticed the blonde boy in ragged clothing with bruises, sores and cuts all over him. She doesn't think the adults ever noticed him despite his bizarre looks, but she did. He fascinates her. His facial expressions were not like the others who always had a constant cheerful expression. His expression reminds her of the bedtime stories her parents always tell her about; fear and terror. Was that how fear looks like? Inspired by 'The Ones Who Walk Away from Omelas' by Ursula Le Guin [UPDATES ARE SPORADIC]

There was almost this feeling of ... urgency coursing inside of you, you had to be in that room, you had to try figuring out who this boy in front of you was ... and honestly you couldn't just leave him down in the basement ... all alone ... in the dark. {Y/N} didn't know just how seriously important her meeting with 'Taehyung' all those years ago was. But now here she is, 12 years later standing in front of that basement door ... Why was she called back here again?

Inspired by The Ones Who Walk Away From Omelas by Le Guin, The Ones Who Call Bullshit on Omelas is inspired by, set in the same universe as, and serves as a response to Le Guin's timeless short story. While the tone can be a bit more accusational, the whole schtick is very much the same as with the classic by Ursula Le Guin.

This story is based on Variations on a theme by William James. The the book 'The Wind's Twelve Quarters' is were this story lays.

I told the story of the Omelas child from my point of view, referring to the story of Le Guin: "Those who move away from Omelas". Even if you have never read the story of Le Guin you will have the opportunity to interpret the story according to your vision and give it its own meaning.
