Floating islands, magical creatures, mysterious plants. All she knows is there are creatures that appeared to be men after her, only they resembled more of demons. Her new companion, Kaulder, has set out on a mission to restore her memory and save her from these awful men. Giving the lost girl a name and companionship. He shows her the glimmering world around as they head off on a mission to find a seer to bring back what she had lost. He hoped this creature could heal her broken memory. But at what cost? The main problem is, when Carter wants a girl, he'll do anything to get her.

David opened his eyes and stared foggily at the ceiling. He heard the surf breaking onto the beach in the distance. He didn't know where he was. As he slowly came out of his dream world he felt more assured that he was in familiar place. He felt Pizers licking his hand while Joey was panting in his ear. Then Joey slobbered all over David's eyes as if to lick the sleep out of them. His dogs were hungry. David looked at his clock. It was past 7:00 AM. It was late. It was time to get up.

He's dealt with worse before, but this time around, he meets someone different. Maddy prefers to go by Meddy because her idol is none other than the gorgon Medusa herself. She's in the hospital because of a fatal accident that marred her body and a terminal illness that's slowly counting down her days. Face filled with scars and completely blind, the last thing Meddy ever expected was to become friends with someone as charming and lucky as Midas. But like the days of old, some things were never meant to be. As a King with a tragic touch and a creature that strikes the worst fear in others, happiness is not a term they're both familiar with. Frozen in stone and frozen in gold, fate would grant neither of them victory.
