Coffito Crawls is a psychological horror novelette set in a quiet café that comes alive only after midnight. Yumeko, a soft-spoken girl with an unsettling smile, works alone behind the counter. By day, she appears harmless. By night, the café becomes a place where people disappear.
Yumeko calls the men who stay too late "Onii-chan," longing for a brother who never returned. Those who refuse to stay are punished-not out of rage, but out of loneliness disguised as sweetness. Some escape with their bodies broken, others vanish without a trace. As news spreads and fear grows, customers stop coming, leaving Yumeko alone with the silence she fears most.
Investigations fail, evidence disappears, and the café itself seems to protect her. Between kindness and cruelty, comfort and control, Yumeko's story unfolds as a chilling exploration of abandonment, manipulation, and the danger of mistaking warmth for safety.
Coffito Crawls is not a story about monsters-it is about what happens when loneliness learns how to smile.
