This is an original based off of the prompt for the open novellas 2 contest. I AM a ROUND 2 contestant. It all began with the game of truth or dare.

A tragic night leaves Dakota filled with guilt, and Luisa, her best friend, with memories she'll never recover from. After a not guilty verdict from the school's conduct board against Luisa's attacker, Dakota, aka Coco, takes matters into her own hands. Armed with nothing but her art supplies and her position as the comic strip artist for the school's paper, Coco finds ways to expose the corruption in the school's conduct system. However, her obsession with justice leads her discover more about herself than she hoped, and could jeopardize her friendship with the very person she wanted to save.

For the OpenNovellaContest II. First time trying Drama-Romance, rather than skirting about in the edges. It's my first romantically focused story, but I still hope the focus on the issues remain pertinent. Here's hoping it's not a complete and endless stream of twaddle! *Because of a comment and after some deliberation, I thought it best to write this in the description to avoid any future confusion. This story is written in the technique of 'multiple internal focalisation', switching between Grant and Nathalie at times-two separate POVs-with the separate constant narrator. Hopefully, this clarifies any future questions about that after the first few chapters.

Little Sara was a sweet and kind girl, in that times you can say the only one. People had lost faith in god's mystical creatures that had to be safeguarded from mankind's evil eyes. Such were these beautiful unicorns who lived quietly in their Glade forbidden to venture out. The unicorns knew about all that happened in our world while we were ignorant to theirs. Hearing about Sara, they decided to bless her with a gift way better that you receive on your birthday. An opportunity is not available to all.
