In 1587, eight days after a great storm, the second group of colonists traveling from England to America, finally sight land. Not getting to where they originally were set to, Virginia they arrive at the island of Roanoke, hungry, sick, and tired but the colonist decided to settle there. On the island, the settlers find two tribes, the Croatoan's, who are friendly and the Secotan, who distrust the newcomers as they've been betrayed by them once before, long ago. Struggling for food, distrust, and murder the colony is in constant fear of attacks and other adverse situations. Forced to go back, the Governor, John White travels back to England for supplies with a plan to return within the year. Unable to come back sooner, it takes two years for him to return(1590). Excited to see his family, he is distraught to find the colony has abandoned the island. They've disappeared. There's no sign of them except they left two clues to where they might have gone. White is at a loss. Has everyone been murdered? Or were they able to find safety elsewhere? This story is based on what might have happened to the settlers and where they might have gone.

She had been working as a scout for a gang of thieves for years. When her little sister passed away there was no other reason for her to stay so she escaped hoping to lead a righteous life, sort of. Unfortunately her days of breaking into places are not over yet. This story takes part in the ONC 2020 using prompt 8. (although I am not quite sure I am using it enough. I'm mainly using the part of the secret identity and sort of the damsel in distress part) I hope the few people that read this like it!

For influencer Carolyn Danes, #aboutlastnight is the best hashtag. It perfectly sums up an evening filled with adventure and excitement. And her last evening out really WAS perfect. Her dress fit perfectly, her hair and makeup were on point, and she met the man of her dreams, out-of-this-world-hot and charming Damian Bradley. It just had to be ruined by something as silly as waking up in a strange empty room, in Damian's body, her own lifeless corpse lying on the floor. No amount of screaming in the world can make the nightmare go away. Her only clue about last night is a letter from Damian himself. It can all be undone. I'M GOING TO START EDITING THIS PROBABLY. If you go to Our Lady of the Black Veil Academy, chances are you know the names Cass Landry, Rebecca Lovelace, and Mallory Meksawan. Cass Landry being the mysterious new girl with a tendency to practice magic illegally, Rebecca being notorious for lighting up every room she walks into, and Mallory being the second in command it-girl of Black Veil, as famed as she is feared. After a magical attempt to escape detention goes terribly, horribly wrong and their ethics teacher winds up dead (ironic, they know), Cass must band together with Rebecca, the girl she "totally doesn't like", and Mallory, another girl she doesn't like (but like...for real this time) to find a spell that can bring their teacher back to life before her situation becomes permanent. A spell of this caliber, however, requires that they venture into the underground world of their picturesque town, striking a deal with a powerful gang leader that not only raises the stakes, but gives them an even tighter timeline. And though as a witch Cass has personal experience with life and death, the pressure that she's facing now might just be too tough to handle. Luckily, she's not alone.
