Before you continue... This is a comfort book. Meaning that these stories are for my comfort with my comfort characters. Why? Because we all have our ways to comfort and soothe ourselves. When Yuri is dragged into a bakery by his best friend after their yoga class, he doesn't expect to like the desserts it makes, and he really doesn't expect to humiliate himself in front of the bakery's hot, if inexpressive, proprietor. But as he returns to the bakery, he finds that the proprietor isn't actually made of stone, and, incredibly, seems to like Yuri. But Yuri has a surprise up his sleeve, and, eventually, Otabek will, too. That's what life's all about, though, right? Surprise? 'This routine would be so awesome,' Yurio thought, 'if only Otabek could get his damn part right.' So this fic came to me when I was watching Welcome to the Madness last week and I realized that a routine like that doesn't just happen. Yurio and Otabek would have had to practice that routine. So then I wondered, how many times did they have to practice Otabek taking off Yurio's glove with his teeth? How many times did Otabek accidentally bite Yurio's finger instead, and how awkward were the subsequent apologies?
