Pen Pals In the 5th grade, papers were handed out for the cheesy, typical pen pal assignment. Once the year was over, the pen pals were long forgotten- for everyone except Fletcher. Going into the 10th grade, the soon to be 16 year old boy continues to write to the girl living in Mississippi. But when April shows up at Fletcher's school saying that her family is temporarily going to be living in the area, Fletcher begins to suspect something's going on. The girls had met while they were 12. They met on a texting app while roleplaying.Considering, they were 16 now their parents let them go. One of the girls finally flys out to the other and decides to stay over the other girls house for part of the summer. On the way back home a terrible accident happens leaving the girl severely injured and on the brink of death. Scarred and heartbroken Elizabeth won't let her friend die, staying with her all the way, as best friends should until the end.
