A circle only have 360 degrees, what are you going to do with the other half? This is written to join the entry of #PlanetorPlastic short story contest from National Geographic in the fight against single-use plastic. Or should I say, those bags that helped you carry your groceries each week.

In this world, there are only the perpetrators and the punished. "I struggle to comprehend how we can live in a society where convenience comes at the cost of murder. We create the plastic, we use it, we discard it - but we don't pay the price. The ocean and its inhabitants do. And not just the ocean - every ecosystem, every animal, every single living thing. Except us." Written for the National Geographic #planetorplastic writing competition.

This story is written as an entry to the National Geographic #PlanetorPlastic Writing Contest. I hope that this simple story could be an inspiration and an eye opener to everyone that a simple act of not throwing plastics in the ocean or any bodies of water can make a big change to the world.

Hello everybody! This is my entry for National Geographics writing contest: Planet or Plastic. The contest focusses on the devastating impact of single-use plastics - a subject which I personally feel very strongly about. Plastic pollution is a global issue and I believe that we all have a responsibility to change our ways and save the oceans before it is too late. Our choices matter and together we CAN make a difference. But we have to act now! ..... If you are interested in entering the contest, there is still time. A submission for the #PlanetorPlastic competition! Here's a childhood story of when I was young regarding my dog, Sunshine, (may she rest in peace) and the reason why I've always been uncomfortable seeing plastic and trash not being thrown properly.
