Throughout the corridor on Mephistopheles, Don found a... pretty intriguing door. Dante advised not to open it, but Don does it anyway as they both got sucked into a portal of sorts... that also alerts the other Sinners, which leads them into an entirely new world that is full of super power individuals. They will make new friends, fight against new foes, and might as well finding a way to go back to their own world.

Threads broke, the glass beneath his feet turned to petals, and dried butterflies on the walls came to life, rustling their wings in dust and light. He no longer walked-he ran.
