Christine Daae is accustomed to mediocrity in her career as a dancer in the chorus at the Opera Garnier. She is mostly unnoticed, lonely and in perpetual fear of being dismissed. More than that, her lingering grief over her father's death means that she is a but a hollow shell of her former self. She fears she is losing her mind when a mysterious voice reaches out to her from the dark. The voice offers her a wonderful opportunity; she only has to be brave enough to grasp it. How could she know that by doing so, she will set in motion a chain of events that would change her life forever and endanger the ones she loves?

As a result, Christine finds herself trapped in the burning opera house. Erik, suspecting that his beloved has remained at the opera house, is determined to save her. Due to one decision, their fates become intertwined once again. Will Erik fight to win Christine's heart? Will Christine be able to forgive her Angel of Music for years of lies and manipulation? The story starts at the end of Love Never Dies, or LND, the sequel to The Phantom of the Opera. You may want to read this after you at least read the Wikipedia page or listened to the soundtrack. Switching between Erik's and Gustave's point of view, it tells the story of what happens after Christine died. Gustave learns some disturbing secrets about his true father. Then, the story takes place eight years later with Gustave going through some family initiation where he, Erik, Madame Giry, Meg, and Miss Fleck bump into an old friend. Detective Gordon Freeman takes interest in the case about the "Sweet Voice Ghost,". An apparent cryptic beneath the Paris Opera House. when he goes down to investigate, however, something unexpected happens.

After the mysterious Opera Ghost terroizes the new managers of the opéra populaire one too many times, the managers decide to take a stand by hiring France's most notorious "ghostbusters": a group of four best friends known for investigating paranormal activity. The four friends, though young and lacking of experience, are cunning enough to learn the Palais Garnier isn't haunted by any normal ghost. The paranormal investigators are faced with a horrible decision: to fullfill their duties, or protect the Phantom of the Opera from harm's way. The Phantom's life is changed dramatically when the four force themselves into his life, and everyone has something to learn about themselves... but for him, it might be that he can be accepted somewhere, and maybe even find love.
