Harry is slytherin and therefore the entire story is rewritten for Drarry. No voldy, no horcruxes. Remus is in hiding, and Sirius is still currently in Azkaban, but neither die, so he only lives with the Dursleys till fourth year. His parents died in a regular old car crash just like the dursleys said. Remus has been writing to Harry, so he knows about magic and stuff by the time he gets his letter, he's just still a bit new.
